AT TPS, sustainability isn’t a buzzword, it’s something we’ve been actively championing for over 15 years Our journey with recycling began back in 2008/2009 with a simple goal: reduce our own plastic waste and our overall carbon footprint.
We started small, recycling the plastic used in house. Over time, as conversations with customers highlighted similar challenges, our recycling activity began to grow organically.
A New Chapter: Advanced Facility for Maximum Efficiency
Driven by customer demand and our own personal goal of contributing to a more circular plastics industry, over the last year, we have been developing out our new expanded Recycling Centre. Currently we have 7 people working within this department, and we expect this continue to expand as the facility scales.
Our knowledge has developed over time, and we learned through our own experience. A recent step forward, is our ability to produce pelletised material. This allows us to bring recycled plastic much closer to the performance of virgin material, making it a real alternative for manufacturers who want to reduce their environmental impact without compromising on quality.
Once the facility is fully complete, we plan to operate 11 dedicated recycling lines, each focused on a specific material. This avoids cross-contamination and removes the need for lengthy clean-downs every time a material changes, making the process faster, cleaner, and far more efficient.

Can medical device plastics be recycled? Yes with TPS’s ISO 13485 certification, we recycle and trace materials to original batch numbers, ensuring regulatory compliance. This tackles a key industry pain point: diverting waste from landfill in a sector generating massive scrap volumes. Manufacturers trust us for reliable, high-spec pellets that integrate seamlessly into production.

- Recycled 15 tonnes of product scrap into uniform pellets, packed in custom 25kg bags for easy re-use delivering dust-free, production-ready material that saved waste disposal costs.
